Johnny Chance is an agent of the American spy group LIBERTY, headquartered under the Statue of Liberty. After losing his hand, he would be outfitted with an 'Electro Robot Hand', each finger a different tool/weapon. Along with a belt with extra fingers with additional uses. He was dubbed Spyman and with LIBERTY, they fight against the terrorist group MIRAGE, led by the Whisperer in his debut issue.
The Fly
Tommy Troy was an orphan hired by Ben and Abigail March. Late one night, he tried wearing a ring with a fly-shaped emblem he found in their attic. The Marches were wizards, and the ring summoned Turan, one of the Fly People. Trusted with the power of a Fly, Tommy promises to use his power to carry on the fight against greed and crime.
The Double Life of Private Strong
Lancelot's scientist father developed a method to create a superhuman by expanding the mind, which he used on his infant son. After his father was killed by foreign agents, Lancelot was adopted by a farm couple and raised as their son. Once he hit his teens, he discovered the truth of his background and his powers: strength, flight, near-invulnerability, vision powers, the ability to generate lightning, and a few more. His father had created a patriotic costume for him, and he started off as the new superhero, the Shield. He soon joined the Army, acting like a Gomer Pyle-style country bumpkin, while leading a double life as the Shield.
Race for the Moon
Published by Harvey in 1958, long before we landed on the moon. The stories contained inside are the product of the time period, our race against the "Reds" and the desire to reach the moon. This is sci-fi and told through the eyes of Jack Kirby, Joe Simon, Al Williamson, Bob Powell and others. This fun series lasted three issues and is reprinted in its entirety including the Harvey house ads. In color and fully restored.
Jigsaw
Without a spacesuit to shield him from the vacuums of space, Colonel Gary Jason was sucked into an Alien Tractor Beam into a laboratory beneath the moon. Fearful of being perceived as enemies of Earth, the aliens, Si-Krell and Plentha, repaired his smashed body with their alien tissue. This living tissue they used makes him look like a human-shaped pile of jigsaw puzzles, but grants him the power to stretch and extend his body. In his souped-up body he is pliable and super strong but he no longer has a place on earth, he instead aids the need of his Alien saviors.
